RENAC Holds a 2-Day Course on Solar PV Hybrid Systems in Beirut

As part of the LCEC capacity building activities, the Berlin-based Renewables Academy (RENAC) will be conducting a 2-day course on solar photovoltaic systems in Beirut, Lebanon on Monday 16 and Tuesday 17 May 2016. The RENAC course is hosted by the Lebanon Committee of the World Energy Council (WEC) and aims to train a group of installers with engineering knowledge to be able to correctly define and calculate the design parameters of solar hybrid photovoltaic systems (grid connected with storage). The course will also include teaching the participants on how to standardize plans (including shading, battery, and system sizing) according to the LCEC NEEREA guidelines and using software calculations. The course will be limited to 20 participants. It is offered free-of-charge exclusively to the first 10 Gold members of the WEC Lebanon Committee (based on a first-come-first-serve-basis). Non-WEC members interested to participate in this course are requested to contact Ms. Shatha Wansa: shatha.wansa@lcecp.org.lb.
