UNDP Prepares a Detailed PV Status Report for Lebanon
The decentralized rooftop solar PV market in Lebanon has more than doubled between 2014 and 2015. Actual numbers indicate that the market is expected to have a much bigger increase between 2015 and the current year 2016. According to a full market survey completed by the DREG project based on the LCEC NEEREA numbers and a detailed market survey, the solar PV market is even more promising in the next five years. The DREG project (Decentralized Renewable Energy Generation), a joint project between UNDP Lebanon and the Ministry of Energy and Water, has finalized the full study in that regard. The results of the study will be presented during a full session of the International Beirut Energy Forum 2016. The session is scheduled on Friday, 23 September 2016.
